Gort, I'm going to take a nap. Wake me up when the Earthlings
have learned to live in peace, love and harmony. |
Four years ago, I boldly set out to explore strange old films, to seek out new life and new meaning in them, and to write about things few self-respecting adults have bothered to examine before.
Now, four years into the mission, I realize it's time to pull into the nearest port for some serious R&R.
I'm calling this a hiatus, because I want to keep all my options open. If and when
Films From Beyond returns, it will probably be with a new scope -- more looks at other genres like film noir and westerns -- and a new format.
I've had a lot of fun with the blog. Here's a baker's dozen + 2 of the "best of the blog" (as determined by yours truly).
Well done! Enjoy the break. Will look forward to your return and new guise.
ReplyDeleteHope you continue this blog Brian. Your comments about any type of film genre are always insightful, edgy and humorous. Discussing films from all kinds of . genres with you over the last 25 years has always been an enjoyable experience for me. So I look forward to your blog's return with its broader focus. Many thanks from your friend and fellow film enthusiast!
ReplyDeleteCarol,
DeleteMany thanks for the kind words. I'm working on a book project right now, in addition to my full time job. Wish I had more energy. I'm still posting to the Films From Beyond Facebook page from time to time, but I do miss blogging.
