It's been remade as recently as 2013, but as you might expect, that version took more liberties with the original story in order to pad it out to feature length. Even though it's not among the best Cushing-Lee collaborations (Lee has a relatively small role), The Skull is definitely worth looking up, especially this time of year.Brian Schuckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08463833554200343247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4846293972880517466.post-43612405837703231812021-10-12T18:32:56.281-07:002021-10-12T18:32:56.281-07:00I don't know if I should be ashamed to admit t...I don't know if I should be ashamed to admit this or not, but I have actually seen (and enjoyed) all these films except the last and the first, which sounds like a real find. I had no idea there was any film adaptation made of The Monkey's Paw, but I shall have to check this one out. I also got a kick out of The Mask and its (maybe LSD-inspired?) fantasy sequences. 13 Ghosts is of course prime William Castle, and Dr. Terror's House of Horrors has the advantage of both Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing in the cast. I shall also have to check out The Skull, which sounds like another gruesome treat and also has Cushing, who is always superb. grandoldmovieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10773085288675763855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4846293972880517466.post-78736077508721874762021-10-09T12:49:12.123-07:002021-10-09T12:49:12.123-07:00Yes, those 3D sequences are highly entertaining!Yes, those 3D sequences are highly entertaining!Brian Schuckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08463833554200343247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4846293972880517466.post-55153962745309329082021-10-08T14:36:48.824-07:002021-10-08T14:36:48.824-07:00The Mask is a pretty nifty little movie.
