It also seems that it was the last Tigon-made film, though they continued as a film distributor.<br />Your comments on Lorna Heilbron's performance made me realize that her character of Penelope demonstrates some of the dangers of repression. Even when she goes nuts and seems to be emulating her promiscuous mother, she still violently defends her chastity against the men she entices. That schizoid bent of hers seems due to her well-meaning father's moral repression conflicting with her anger about his secrecy regarding her deceased mother. The father's faulty inoculation just made her dangerously extroverted -- or did it?
