By the time I got my driver's license and a bit of independence, the youth movement had been completely co-opted and disco and pricey atrocious fashions ruled the day. <br /> I love this film, an elegy for the optimistic, naive youth movement that was peculiarly American. I have Lieberman's Satan's Little Helper on my must see list, but so far haven't gotten around to it. One wonders if BLUE SUNSHINE had gotten better distribution if it would have gone beyond cult status in the public's perception. It still would have remained a unique, quirky, and witty reflection on the fallout from the Summer of Love. Jeff Leiberman has written-directed a handful of interesting horror films, and I wish he had done many more.
